the upgrade quest is a pretty simple one, room with 3 mobs, hunt 100 of a particular mob. Each mob you hunt that is NOT the mob they want, -1 count.
after getting D.. it appears new quests will be available. Noticed that one of them was Swamp Frogfish hunt.
